How it works for locum occupational therapists
Set your own rate
Your rate lives on your profile. Businesses see it when they search, and it is the rate that applies when they book you. LocumLink takes no cut and adds no mark-up.
Add your location and availability
Pin where you are willing to work and mark the dates you are free. Businesses search by distance, so you appear for work near you.
Upload your HPCSA registration
Your registration and qualification documents sit on your profile for businesses considering you to review.
Accept the shifts you want
Requests come to you. Decline anything that does not suit you — there is no obligation and no penalty.
Where locum occupational therapists find work
- Private practices
- Rehabilitation units
- Schools and community services
- Psychiatric facilities
Across all nine provinces — Gauteng, Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, Free State, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West and Northern Cape.
What it costs
Nothing to join, and no subscription. LocumLink charges no agency fees and takes no commission, so the rate you set is the rate you are paid. A traditional agency adds its margin on top of your rate, which makes you more expensive to book without putting anything in your pocket.
Registration and verification
You must be registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) to take locum occupational therapist work through LocumLink.
LocumLink does not verify registrations. The business engaging you is responsible for confirming your registration and qualifications with HPCSA directly, as they would for any hire. Keeping your own registration current and in good standing remains your responsibility.
