How LocumLink works
LocumLink is a direct marketplace. Businesses find locums, locums accept the shifts they want, and no agency sits in between taking a margin.
If you are a healthcare professional
- Create your profile. Set your hourly rate, pin your location, and mark the dates you are available.
- Upload your documents. Your council registration and qualification certificates, which businesses considering you can see.
- Receive requests. Pharmacies near you send booking requests that match your availability.
- Accept or decline. Entirely your choice, every time.
If you are a healthcare business
- Register your business. Add your details and each site that needs cover.
- Search. Filter by distance, date and qualification. Locums already booked in that window are excluded automatically.
- Request a booking. The locum accepts or declines.
- Confirm and coordinate. Agree the details through the platform's messaging.
What happens after the shift
Both sides review each other on a double-blind basis: neither review is visible until both have been submitted, or seven days have passed. That stops reviews being written in response to one another.
Payment happens directly between the business and the locum. LocumLink does not process payments and takes no part of the rate.
Rates
Each locum sets their own rate on their profile, and that rate is what applies when a business books them. LocumLink charges neither side — no agency fee, no placement fee, and no percentage of the shift rate.
